Museum of Fun

On Wednesday, April 23rd, Mom, Dad, Dan and I took Aiden and Seth to the Strong National Mustum of Play (http://www.strongmuseum.org/). What a fun place to visit! Even though the boys were too young for a lot of things there, they still had a blast running all over the place and getting into everything, which is what this museum is all about.
We spent the most amount of time in the Seasame Street area where Seth and Aiden played in the taxi cab pretending to drive all over.
The big kids got to enjoy the Seasame Street area too, playing the PVC pipe like they were part of the Blue Man Group.
Aiden got to take a train ride with Dan, while Seth (who was much too squirmy) and I played with the model trains.
We spent some time in the Grossology section, learning all sorts of disgusting facts while the boys played with a life-size operation game and carried around the rubber femurs and tibias. There was a huge Mr. Potato Head upstairs with magnetic pieces, which Seth and I assembled. There were also two slinkys that both the boys loved dragging around.
Then we headed over to the next area to build huge towers with blocks. However, the building part was done mostly by us big kids, whereas the knocking down of the towers was the highlight for the little kids.
The last area we played in was designed like a studio and there were all sorts of objects that were used for sound effects. Aiden and Seth were excited about all the bells and whistles.

We left about a half hour after the boys usually go down for a nap and they were both sound asleep before we were even out of view of the Museum. What a fun afternoon!
