Lilac Festival '09

This past Saturday, we met up with Dan's family at the Lilac Festival in Rochester. I was so excited to be there! The lilacs were at their peak and looked (and smelled!) amazing. The kids enjoyed watching the parade, and the boys are still talking about the clowns, motorcycles and dogs that they saw. These are some of my favorite pictures from the parade:
After the parade, we ate a picnic lunch and then took a stroll through the lilacs.
We finished up just as the first raindrops fell. We all decided it was about time to head out anyway (as none of the kids had had a nap) and all three were asleep within minutes. Even though it was just a quick trip up for a few hours in the morning, it was well worth it!
