Haircuts

This morning, we took Aiden and Seth to get their first professional haircuts. When the lady who was cutting their hair asked them who was going first, Aiden promptly volunteered his brother, and then Seth did the same to Aiden. Since Aiden is our more outgoing boy, we told him to go first and he did really well. He was a little unsure to begin with...
but just because he thought Dan was going to leave him and go back to sit with the rest of us. But Daddy stayed and took a bunch of pictures...
and by the end, Aiden was grinning from ear to ear.
Seth wasn't as eager about his haircut, but he had peeked around the corner to watch Aiden several times and I think that helped him to not be afraid. However, he refused to smile for the camera, even though he was tenatively smiling whenever the camera wasn't pointed his way.
Afterward we went to Barnes & Noble as a reward for the boys (to let them play with the Thomas the Tank Engine toys in the kids' section... they love that!) because everyone had said how well-behaved they were and they did really well for having never had anyone other than Mama or Daddy cut their hair. We were really proud of them! Cora slept through the haircuts, the Barnes & Noble trip and when we went to the library to return our books and stayed for story time. She loves her naps! Now, if only we could get her to love sleeping at night as much as she likes sleeping during the day!
