Last weekend, we got some snow pants and boots loaned to us from a friend for the boys to use this winter. (Note to self: do NOT try to buy snow gear in January from now on. That is when the bathing suits are out, not the snow pants!) On Wednesday after Dan got home from work, we bundled Aiden and Seth from head to toe and sent them outside with Daddy to play in the snow for the second time ever (and the first time they'll be able to remember). They were so excited!

Dan took them to the side lawn, where a three-foot knoll made a perfect sledding "hill" for our three-year-olds.

how to
not make a snow-angel (as laying your arms out to the side and then pointing them at the sky doesn't work very well!):

and once the proper snow-angel skills have been taught, how to successfully stand up without disrupting the work of art:

Aiden enjoyed being buried under some snow...

until Seth dumped the snow on Aiden's face!

Today, Dan took the boys outside again when he got home and they learned the difference between sledding snow and snowman snow. This is their "Frosty"...

whom they later asked Dan to put feet on so that Frosty could walk around just like he did in the movie. Dan used some bricks for feet, but for some reason, Frosty has stayed put even with feet... at least while we've been looking.

I love the picture of Dan pulling Seth up from the snow angel he just made.
