Saturday morning was spent at the beach -

with lots of time to play in the sand!

Cousin Nate, who lives in Florida also, brought his boogie boards and surf boards and Dan got to use both.

Emma wanted to be buried in the sand...

and after Aiden saw her, he wanted to be buried too.

After a big breakfast on Sunday, we headed to the pool and spent the day there.

The kids still wanted to play in the kiddie pool area some...

(it was really neat!),

but we also spent a lot more time at the big pool, and the kids all did really well with their swimmies on. Cora loved sitting by the pool watching the big kids. And she's much better at this age than the boys were at keeping a hat and sunglasses on!

Seth was getting quite brave by late morning and was even jumping in and letting the water go over his head! This is the first time the boys have been swimming in deep water since early last August and we were very surprised by how confident he got in one morning!

The best part about all this beach and pool time is that the SPF 50 we had did it's job and not one of us got burned. (A very big accomplishment for all our pale skin!) The bad part is that Aiden is now reacting to the Coopertone sunscreen that was the only one he didn't react to last summer. I guess we'll be on a new sunscreen search for this summer, but at least we didn't bring home any sunburn from Florida!
