Last weekend, we were traveling again - this time, to North East, PA, a small town near Erie. We met friends of ours from Michigan, Justin and Ali Hutt, and spent the weekend there with them. Since we had the shorter drive, we arrived early Friday afternoon, although the Hutts were there until around 8pm. The 3-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom house we stayed in was on a cliff overlooking Lake Erie and was a beautiful home.
We enjoyed checking out the place, and then Aiden and Seth played in the sprinkler we had brought from home while Cora napped.
While we were at the lake house, the boys were able to share a room with Justin and Ali's boys, Cooper and Davis. Even though the kids hadn't seen each other since July of 2010 (and that was a brief visit), they quickly got reacquainted. And there was a lot of giggling every night and every night after!
On Saturday morning, Dan and Justin - friends since high school - took the four boys and Cora on a walk while Ali put their little girl, Natalie, down for a nap and then she and I continued catching up.
"The Dads" (as Ali and I referred to Dan and Justin to all of our kids) were great about playing with the boys and keeping them entertained.
It was our first time meeting Natalie, who was born last August. Cora loved having another girl there, especially a baby!
Even though Ali and I are friends because of Dan and Justin's friendship, we always have a great time together!
