Island Time

After only being able to go to Newark Island one day for vacation last year (because of Mikiah's late arrival), I was thrilled to have five days there this year.  Hilda, Jake and Emma came out on Sunday evening when we arrived to celebrate Mikiah's birthday with us.

After he was in bed, the rest of us hung out by the campfire,

Besides swimming, boating and hiking around the island, we also were able to enjoy paddle boards for the first time.  They are so fun!  

Also, Cora caught her first fish (with a lot of help from Grandpa)!

 But when Grandpa told her she should kiss it before tossing it back, there was no way she was going to do that!
