This morning, we took the boys to a nearby farm, which is run like a petting zoo, called Farmland Animal Park. After getting some corn to feed the animals, we strolled through a mile-long loop passing several small animal shelters and a pond.

There were lots of animals to see: pigs,

goats,

cows,

horses, ponies and a donkey,

ducks and geese (which were Aiden and Seth's least favorite... probably because some were almost as big as the boys and they were quite noisy and demanding trying to get to the food),

and even a peacock.

Aiden and Seth both attempted a ride on a small pony, but neither let us go further than a few steps from the fence before saying they were all done.

Probably Seth and Aiden's favorite part of our time at the animal park was when we were all done walking around and they got to dig in the sandbox and ride tricycles in the play area. We had a treat of ice cream at the farm (which they also really enjoyed) before heading home.

It was an enjoyable Saturday morning, and we were glad to be able to have a fun little trip with the boys before life gets too busy with a new baby.
