Although Cora isn't officially one until September 1st, we celebrated this past weekend with the Loucks' side. (We also celebrated Dad's birthday, which is just a few days before Cora's.) Mom and Dad were able to come down for a few days and Jake, Hilda and Emma came down for the day on Saturday. Aiden and Seth were really excited to have Emma at their house! The three older kids got to play outside (mostly riding down our knoll in the toy Jeep) while Cora napped, and they all had a great time!
After the little one was up, we opened presents. Cora had to hand us every little piece of wrapping paper that she ripped off, so presents took quite a while!
After dinner, we had chocolate cake. It took Cora a few minutes to get into her piece, but she enjoyed it once she did!
I'm not sure how much was actually consumed though... I think most of it ended up rubbed into her face, hands and highchair tray!
It was a wonderful day with family, and we all had a great time!
