Crosby Thanksgiving

This year, we headed to south Jersey for Thanksgiving at Alvana and David's house. It has been 10 years since Dad, Howie, Alvana and I have been together for Thanksgiving and a lot has changed in those years - the addition of 4 spouses, and 5 kids! Of course, the piano was a favorite "toy" for all the kids.
After a praise and worship service at Alvana and David's church in Delaware, we had a light snack and then the boys went outside to play in the beautiful, warm weather while Cora took a nap.
Howie, Hannah, Ellie and Gavin arrived in the afternoon as well. I was so excited to meet my new nephew, Gavin, and hold him for the first time! (He was 2 months old just last week.)
After a delicious feast including organic turkey, green bean casserole, squash, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, applesauce and an amazing stuffing that Alvana made for the first time which had sausage and apple pieces in it, we relaxed for a few hours before having pumpkin pie crunch and apple crisp for dessert.
It was such a blessing to have Dad and Gene with us from North Carolina... and it was an even bigger blessing for Dan and I since the boys slept in their camper two of the three nights we were there!
I had hoped that our post-Thanksgiving dinner picture would be Christmas-card worthy, but we all look a little too stuffed and lethargic!
The cousins' picture turned out a lot better though! It was really cute to watch the kids interact!
Cora has been talking about getting to hold baby Gavin even since we told her she would get to see him. When she wasn't holding him, she was sitting next to him while he was in his bouncy seat. She is such a baby lover!
Aiden and Seth weren't to be outdone though, and they both held their new cousin as well.

A special thanks to our host and hostess for having an extra 11 people during the first Thanksgiving dinner they've ever made!!
