I took another step unto the crunchy granola side today by making my own laundry detergent! Using this recipe and the three ingredients I was able to find in the laundry aisle of the closest grocery store, making the soap took about a half hour.
The Fels-Naptha soap, when grated, looked a lot like cheddar cheese.
The kids were all very interested in the detergent-making process.
The finished product has to sit for 24 hours before it can be used. I'm very excited about all the money I can save by making my own laundry detergent!
