Water Pump

Dan and I both realize that we were VERY spoiled in Texas by owning a new home. To be in a house for almost three years and have no major problems (and only a couple minor problems)? I guess that's not how it goes with older houses! To celebrate two weeks in our house, we bought a new water pump this morning. Last night around 9pm, Dan went to get himself a glass of water and found that we had no water pressure at all. He checked out a few things and determined it could be one of three things - the first two being not that expensive to fix and the last one being that the water pump had gone bad and we'd need a new one. He made a call last night and at 7am this morning, we had a repairman out here to fix the problem. Within about 30 minutes, he had assessed the situation and told us that we were going to need a new water pump. Two hours later (or 12 hours total without water), we were all set with a new pump in our well. Ahh... the joys of owning an older home!
The old pump...
and our shiny new model next to it.
