Helmets?

Because Sundays afternoons from late August through January were spent watching football with Daddy, Aiden and Seth became familiar with how a football helmet looks. Today, they wanted to get out their bin of outdoor toys - a mostly deflated basketball, baseballs & mits, a small soccer ball and two footballs - and after Seth pulled out the football, he asked me to get Dan's hat for him. I wasn't sure why he needed it, but got it anyway. Seth put it on his head and tilted it so that only his eyes showed through, and then he told me it was his "football hat" and happily started tossing the football around.
Aiden went for a slightly different look when he pulled the hat even lower on his face. He repeated this performance for Dan after dinner, and both of us were laughing a lot at him and Seth too. I love watching the things they come up with!
