House Projects

This past week, Mom and Dad Loucks came down for a few days to help us with some pre-baby-arrival projects. All of these undertakings weren't things that we HAD to have done, but are things that I am sure would easily get pushed to the back burner (again) if we were to not get them accomplished in the next 7 weeks. Mom and Dad were hard at work Tuesday morning, and I spent the next few days trying to keep the boys either out of the house or entertained while here so that they weren't too underfoot. Despite the many questions that Aiden and Seth asked - their favorite being, "Gamma doing? Gampa doing?" - a lot of work was completed over two and a half days' time. Our bathroom ceiling was painted white and the walls were painted a light grey:
Our ceiling was also painted white and the walls are now a light tan on three sides of the room...
...and a chocolate brown on the fourth wall, to match the new bedding that we bought.
The downstairs room which is soon to be the boys' room was painted cream last summer by my dad, so we didn't want to repaint the whole thing again. Instead, we chose one wall as an accent wall, and Dad Loucks painted it a dark blue. Right now, we still have the room set up as a guestroom as we'll be having 4 visitors over the next few weeks.
But probably in the beginning of August, we'll hang the curtains and get everything set up so that it can officially be considered the boys' room, with the Thomas the Tank Engine theme they picked out.
Thank you to Mom and Dad for all your hard work! It was greatly appreciated!!!
