While Alvana, Pam and I were busy catching up and reading to the boys on Saturday, Dan started a few small projects. He had some picture frames hung and the stairway gate up in about a half hour.
Then he started working on installing a beautiful new faucet in our kitchen sink, since the one we've had has been slowly driving us crazy with all the dripping.
After an hour or so, he found that the pipes wouldn't fit back together again without leaking because of a chip in the sink basin. The chip had had been sealed up with the old style o-ring, which conveniently did not seal properly with the new style o-ring. So there were then two options - lots of silicon to patch up the leak, or a new vanity and new sink...
After another trip to Lowes and a couple more hours we now have a new vanity, new sink and new faucet, all because of a leaky bathroom faucet.
