Evening at the Park

Late afternoon this past Saturday, we headed down to Eldridge Park for the first time ever. This is a very well-known park in our area, but for some reason we've never made it over there. There was a lot going on for the holiday though, so it was the perfect day to go. There were four bounce/slide inflatables that were free! Since Seth and Aiden love to bounce, we spent a while there, and they had a blast!
It was a hot afternoon, so we kept Cora shaded in her stroller as much as possible. Thankfully, she didn't seem to mind that she was missing out on a lot of the fun.
Aiden and Seth also took a little train ride around the mini golf area,
then went for a paddle boat ride with Daddy.
I've never seen paddle boats like the ones at Eldridge Park - they were really neat! We ran into a family we know from church while were at the inflatables and bumped into them a few other times. Their two kids were on the paddle boats with their dad at the same time Dan was out with the boys. So the guys had a paddle boat race... which Dan won!
Aiden (who wasn't paddling at all for the race) still got tired out while on the boat ride.
Since the boys got to do the paddle-boating, Cora and I went on the carousel right before we left. She loved it!
Although there were fireworks at the park that evening, we took our tired kids home instead. And (not surprisingly) Seth and Aiden were both fast asleep at 6:30, right after we got onto the highway. Even though we missed the fireworks, it was a lot of fun. What a great start to the long weekend!

Is this the man-made lake? It looks like a great place! Next time I'm visiting we'll have to go again!
