Yesterday we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to a nearby park called Park Station that has a lake. Even though it was only about 40 minutes away, we just learned about this park a few weeks ago. (I love that we're still finding new places to visit after two years of being in this area!) There was a small playground area where the boys played before lunch. At noon, the beach area opened for swimming and it filled up quickly.
Aiden and Seth were thrilled to be able to play in some sand again...
and once they believed us that they could walk in this water without having to worry about waves, they started going in deeper, but were still carrying the sand.
Cora loved playing and splashing with Daddy. She loves water much more than the boys did at this age!
This was the perfect end to our long weekend!
