This past weekend, we drove out to the Cleveland area to visit two different families that are both good friends of ours. Instead of making the drive all in one day, we decided to leave early afternoon on Thursday and stop about halfway at a hotel. We found a decently priced hotel near the border of PA which had a "kid's suite" - a room with a queen-size bed and bunk beds that were behind a partial wall. Seth and Aiden were very excited about sleeping on bunk beds! We brought the pack-n-play for Cora, which fit next to the boys' beds, and there was a lot of chatting from all of the kids when it was bedtime since they're not used to all being in the same room.
After dinner at a little restaurant in town, we headed back to the hotel and swam in the indoor pool. We had the whole place to ourselves, and the kids loved splashing around.
The next morning, we enjoyed a large breakfast at the hotel and were on the road by about 9:30. Even though it was only a one-night stay, being in a hotel is rare enough for the kids that we were very happy to be able to add this extra fun to our trip to Ohio.
