Yesterday was a gorgeous fall day, which was much appreciated after the rainy, cold weather we'd had for over a week. Once the lawn was mowed and the work around the house was done, we planned to go to the local
pumpkin patch and corn maze that we had enjoyed so much last year. At the last minute, we decided to invite some others along: our friends, Chris and Amy, and their four children - Kara, Lauren, Dax and Cole. We didn't have a lot of time this year since we squeezed in our trip after the boys woke up from their naps and the farm closed at 5pm, but we still had a lot of fun.

The kids had a great time running ahead and finding the clues to solve a riddle, and the four adults even got in a few uninterrupted conversations while walking through the maze.

Aiden and Seth were true to character with Aiden by Dax's side most of the time (or walking by himself)...

and Seth holding on to either Kara or Lauren's hand. (I think he's going to be like his daddy and be the guy that always has lots of girls for friends when he's older!)

Cora was snuggled up in her Baby Bjorn - asleep - and enjoyed the maze as much as any one-month-old would.

At one point, I was reprimanded for using the map that was given to us before we started to help us find the clues and know which way to go to get out. Even though they all said this was cheating, I think it was appreciated when we were out of the maze and heading back to Chris and Amy's for dinner in less than an hour... instead of still wandering around a field of corn with seven hungry children!

Chris and Amy had recently bought a camera with the capability to take rapid-fire pictures and so we depended on them to take a bunch of shots for us after our batteries died, and we weren't disappointed.
