We have had a very busy summer this year - with swim lessons and vacations and lots of trips to the park. And despite my delinquency in keeping up with the blog, time has marched on and September 1st has come and gone. It's hard to believe, but our little Cora is not so little anymore! She even looked more mature on her big day in a pretty new outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Loucks.

While dinner was baking, Cora opened her presents, which were mostly clothes. However, being the girly-girl that she is, clothes are probably her favorite thing. Aiden and Seth were disappointed that she didn't get any toys, but Cora was thrilled with her presents!

When I asked her to smile for the camera with her sweater from Aunt Alvana and Uncle David, this was the look she gave me. It was just too goofy not to share!

Besides the clothes we bought her, I also made her a pillowcase with material that she had picked out herself. Although this isn't the best picture of the pillow, she was very happy to snuggle up on it after opening her presents.
For her birthday dessert, we had homemade peanut butter ice cream (from our raw milk) and chocolate beet cupcakes (with beets from our CSA). Both turned out really well!
Happy birthday to our favorite two-year-old! We love you, Cora!
