Touring

On Thursday, our flight back home wasn't until late at night, so we were able to spend the day together in Vegas, because the trade show had ended. We decided to cap off our vacation by taking a helicopter ride to the western rim of the Grand Canyon! We left in the afternoon and flew over the strip...
then traveled further to see parts of Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam.
Even though the scenery was beautiful, it made me realize that we really were in the middle of a desert. And it made me miss the color green!

The Grand Canyon was amazing, of course.
It was hard to fathom how far up we were when we were level with the top of the canyon and the river below us didn't look that small.

But when we looked way, WAY down (and zoomed in on the camera), we could see boats in the river and understood a little better just how high we were.
On the way back to Las Vegas, we flew over the strip once again, and it was really neat to get a bird's eye view of the Bellagio.

Even though it was the most expensive part of our trip, it was by far the best!
